Proof that bearded men make for better partners

Beards are much more than a way to express yourself. Not only do they make you demand respect by your fellow man but in a study by Dr. Dixston, women rated bearded men to be more attractive and a better option for long-term relationships over men without.

So how did a bunch of scratchy facial hair become so important in our modern society?

It turns out that the science behind why this is the case isn't so modern after all - women are more attracted to high-testosterone features. Features like a lush, well maintained beard screams, “I’m mature, I can protect you and our family.” Think broad shoulders and a low-pitched voice along with a strong jawline and facial hair.

The reason why growing a beard makes you a better partner is because jawlines become more pronounced by beards and beards are good testosterone indicators in of themselves. Together, they make the gloriously wonderful coupling of attractiveness and reliability.

Of the 8,520 women asked, all of them (literally 100%) showed a preference for facial hair when asked to rate men (both with and without facial hair) out of six on attractiveness and on a spectrum of "relationship longevity." Guys with bountiful beards were considered more for marriage, while guys with little-to-no scruff were generally considered casual relationship material.
